African Centre for Gene Technologies (ACGT)

The ACGT is a collaborative initiative that involves the CSIR, the Universities of Pretoria, the Witwatersrand, and Johannesburg; and the Agricultural Research Council (ARC). The Centre aims to create a network of excellence in advanced biotechnology, with specific focus on the '-omics' and the applications thereof.

POL-SABINA is managed by the University of Pretoria through the African Centre for Gene Technologies (ACGT).
The ACGT also provides technical backstopping support for SABINA, and co-ordinates its South African partners.
