SABINA has had to bid farewell to Kabelo Nzima, the SABINA information specialist. Over the last year, I have had the great pleasure of working with Kabelo on the production of the VRE newsletters. Although we will miss you Kabelo, we know you are moving on to greater things and wish you only the best! Thank you for your valued contribution and initiative.
I caught up with Kabelo recently and I am certain that she will remain close to the network. Kabelo’s farewell message and a selection of her favourite memories are pasted below:
“Every once in a while one comes across a group of people that over time one consider a family. Over the past 2 years I had an opportunity to encounter and be part of this amazing family called SABINA, it took me a while to write a goodbye message because I really do not want to say goodbye. I really enjoyed my time with SABINA, and I hope that my contribution to the network was worthwhile. I wish everyone all the best with their research as we continue to show the world that Africa has the best scientists. Kwa herini. Nafurahi kukuona. Kabelo”
